Roof insurance claim process
The homeowner files the claim with the insurance company. Majestic documents the roof, can attend a scheduled adjuster visit when you authorize it, and builds to a written construction scope. The carrier decides coverage, depreciation and payment. We do not approve claims.
Document damage from the ground when it is safe. Call your carrier and open a claim. Request a copy of the estimate when it exists. Share photos and the claim number with Majestic if you want a contractor inspection. Compare the carrier line items to the actual roof system—not to a sales pitch.
If the first estimate misses flashing, ventilation, code items or hidden decking, a supplement may be appropriate. That is a construction conversation with the carrier, not a promise of more money. Read supplements and the adjuster meeting.
North Carolina consumers can use NCDOI resources for claim questions. Majestic is the roofing contractor. We do not waive deductibles, guarantee approval or speak as if we were the insurer.

Actual cash value is typically replacement cost minus depreciation. Recoverable depreciation, if your policy allows it, is often paid after work is completed and documented. Confirm with your carrier.
